Shanghai Old Street for Little Lobster (Crayfish), Hairy Crab & Mantis Shrimp

Some incredibly tasty, delicious and tempting seafood known as Xiao Long Xia (Little lobsters: Crayfish) and Da Zha Xie (Chinese Hairy Crab) and Xia Gu (Mantis Shrimp) which you can find lots of them in Shanghai Old Street such as Xishan Road. Dozen of shops lining up selling Little Lobster here.

These seafood were served by a tray and customers were given a pair of disposable gloves and dipping sauces. Once you have a taste of them, you can’t stop tasting. Very addictive. The taste of the little lobster is a little spicy.

The good season for tasting the seafood is  from May to June; from October to February. Enjoy and don't miss it!

 

Snoopy World, Hong Kong

WELCOME TO SNOOPY WORLD THEME PARK HONG KONG

 

 

If you are a fan of Snoopy, this is great place for you. This is hidden park as many are not known about this place. It is a small Snoopy theme park located at Shatin, Hong Kong. There is no entrance fees. It is totally free.

Avoid the raining season which is around May and June. The rain could be particularly heavy and persistent during this 2 months. Hence, what you expect is they will close the theme park even the rain has not started. My kids was so disappointed each time we visit there. If you ask the one in charge, they will advise you the rain may be coming soon. After an hour, you still don't see the rain coming.

Since the park is not big, you may spend and hour taking pictures of Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. There was a little water log ride, a bus to climb inside, and a large jungle gym.

Going to this park in purpose, emm a little small park i should say. But if you are planning to do some shopping it is a idea place for you to shop (New Town Shopping Mall) and your kids have some fun at the Snoopy World.

The park also has a chapel for weddings it seemed nice from outside.

 

Malaysia : Mines Wellness Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Mines Wellness Hotel, is located at Sri Kembangan, Kuala Lumpur. This hotel is a resort kind of style. The lobby is quite big and my sons is so excited waiting for us to check in. The car park is just right opposite the hotel. No hassle.

 

Mines Shopping Centre is about 5 Min's walk going though the car park. Check with the security guard making sure you are going at the right way. We brought all our junk food, fruits and drinks there.

 

 

Our room is acceptable (not recommend for honeymoon couple). Furniture a little old but the rest is ok. Bear in mind, this is not a modern bedroom hotel. More to old Victorian room style. Nice view from our room (Lagoon view). The balcony is a plus. We love sitting there during the night and early morning.

Man Made Beach is nice. But due to the weather condition it was close. We only had about half an hour on the beach. At least there is a bathtub in the room or else I am sure they will stuck in the room watching i-pad. This hotel do not have a swimming pool only man made beach.



They have Qi Gong garden there (we don't see anyone practising there) only a green garden. We did not visit the wellness centre, but i think it is not big.

Overall, if a relaxing gateway, i still prefer Gold Cost Morib. If you prefers, resort that is close to shopping mall, go for this.

Gold Coast Morib is located at Banting, Kuala Langat. Those that is not familiar, from Kuala Lumpur City center it is about an hour journey by car. From KLIA or LCCT terminal, it is about 35 mins.

Travel to Malaysia : Sepang Gold Coast (Gold Coast Morib Resort)

Gold Coast Morib Resort is a wonderful resort for budget family retreat. This resort is ideal for young kids due to the water park which is right in the centre of the resort. My kids love this place so much and it is really convenience for parents, since the water park is just a stone away from the room.

This resort is located at Morib Beach, Banting. From Kuala Lumpur, it takes about an hour. There are lots of offers from Groupon.com and good offer from Agoda.com. Hence, you can expect a long queue upon check in. The check in start only from 3pm, so don't come too early. If you are early, you can go and stroll at the beach. The beach is right behind of the resort.

The best part of the room is come with a exclusive jacuzzi. After  spending half day at the water park, my sons end up at the room jacuzzi. As a parent is was so easy to convince my sons to leave the water park, due to the jacuzzi. Just 3 Min's walk you are back to the hotel room. Be prepare the long queue waiting for the lift. Lift is slow.

Remember to ask for the room with swimming pool (water team park view). It is really nice seating at the balcony enjoying the view.

Water Park at the resort is chargeable, and the is no free swimming pool provided. Do not compare this water park with Sunway Lagoon, A Formosa Water Team Park, Wonderland Water Park or etc. It is much smaller.

Entrance Fees: RM25.00 nett / adult (12 years & over), RM15.00 nett / youngster (02-11 years).

Breakfast and buffet dinner is open air (with roof) beside the beach. Food is generally okay don't compare with hotel standard. No restaurant near by (except some restaurant at Sepang Gold Coastline for some seafood), so if possible get the package booking which include Room, Breakfast, Dinner and Water Park Ticket.

During the night, there is a pub at the resort known as The Pier. Looks nice but did not tried it as we were with our kids.

The beach is a little disappointing except the smooth sand. After all, if you plan for a honeymoon, think twice. If with budget family water trip gateway, go for it.

Travel to Dubai - Desert Safari in Dubai, U.A.E

This was my second trip to Desert Safari, in Dubai.  My first trip i travel with a Pajero 4x4 wheel drive. It was my nightmare experience. Very exciting and i did close my eyes during certain part of the adventure. Never thought i will go for that kind of experience and thanks to my sister who live in Dubai at that time, fully paid for my safari trip.

This trip, we had our hotel pre-arrange for us, Evening Desert Safari. 3 of us and including another couples, a total of 6 people including the driver in a HAMMER. Woh...it look very cool and spacious. Unfortunately, Hammer is very heavy and during the trip, it was not as excited as my first trip with Pajero. Good for those who is not so adventurous or had a back pain just like me.

 

Desert Safari in Dubai, usually start from 4pm and end around 9pm and by the time you reach your hotel is around 10pm. Driver pick you up from your hotel at around 3.30pm to 4pm. Trust me, they are friendly and humorous. Our trip cost us AED125 per person.

On the way, they will stop at a rest place where many other drivers are there. First, you can try at the motor biking for fees or get some drinks. Don't eat too full or else it will be a big problem when you go for the Dune Bashing. The driver will turn round and round the desert like a roller coaster. Yeah, they should name this as Roller Coaster at desert. Bring along a paper bag, if you think you are not ready for the roller coaster.

They will stop over for photos taking. The sunset was beautiful.

Next, they will bring you to a camp site. There are camel riding, Henna Painting, Sheesha (water smoking), Arabic BBQ, Belly Dancing and etc. Around 9pm they will sent you back to your hotel.

Travel to Hong Kong, China - Halloween at Avenue of Star, Hong Kong, China

Halloween in Asia is no longer Chinese Vampire (Jiang Si) only. Western vampire started to flood at Asia as well. Look at the scary yet cute vampire at the Avenue of Star in Hong Kong.

Those that never been to Avenue of Star in Hong Kong, let me brief you a little. The rest is for you to find out yourself. Don't let the little monster scare you away.

Hong Kong is famous of the filming industry and this is the place where they pay tribute to outstanding professional like Bruce Lee, Jackie Cheung and etc. Avenue of Star is located at Tsim Sha Shui. In short, it is like Hollywood Walk Of Frame. If you travel by MRT, you may take Exit E which will lead you to Avenue of Star. Try to visit at everning or night as it is the world class Hong Kong Skyline.
